Shot in Western Turkey, with the backdrop of Eid al-Adha, the "Festival of Sacrifice," a time when the man of the house sacrifices an animal, the 12-year-old boy befriends a sheep destined to be sacrificed by his father. The boy feels helpless, and so does the father, torn between fulfilling a culturally sanctioned duty and making his son happy by sparing the sheep.

Through a dual narrative, we witness Ray's(25) domestic world fall apart as his relationship with Effy (23) deteriorates. As the film progresses, Ray experiences symbolic breakdowns in his environment: the water stops flowing, the clock malfunctions and plants wither—all mirroring the disintegration of his life. The breaking point comes when the power goes out. Ultimately, "Broken" explores the cycles of collapse and renewal, personally and within the urban landscape, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, we can find hope together.

“Tired in Brooklyn” is a sensory ethnographic documentary exploring a day in a Brooklyn tire shop through vivid sights and sounds. Two Mexican workers display resilience within the repetitive nature of their work as they expertly repair tires, their hands stained with rubber and grease.
